Our working days decide your deadline

Printman is open Saturday to Wednesday from 10:00 to 17:00 and Thursday from 10:00 to 15:00, and closed on Friday. The shop is therefore open Saturday to Thursday, and Friday is not a working day.

Two things follow from that, and both catch people out. Thursday is a short day that ends at 15:00, so a job confirmed on Thursday afternoon effectively starts on Saturday. And because Friday is closed, an order for a Saturday morning event has to be collected by Thursday at 15:00, since the shop does not open again until Saturday.

What actually keeps a tight job moving

Artwork is the part of a tight job that is still in your hands when you place the order. Printman does not offer in-house graphic design services, so your own designer supplies the print-ready file and we review it for print suitability. A file that has to go back for correction adds a round trip, and on a two-day deadline that round trip is the whole margin.

Send the file right the first time. We accept PDF, AI, EPS, PSD, JPEG and PNG. Set the file in CMYK color mode, keep images at 300 DPI or higher, include bleed and trim marks if the design runs to the edge, and embed or outline all fonts so nothing substitutes at our end.
